Susan Crain Lewis, MSSW

Susan joined the agency in 1997. She is responsible for oversight of all agency programs, finances, operations, and personnel and is the organization’s lead policy and systems advocate. She possesses over 35 years of program development, management, and implementation experience. Susan has worked in the fields of domestic violence, intellectual and developmental disability, reproductive health and teen pregnancy prevention, mental health, and child welfare. She has served as a consultant to the Ohio and Indiana Child Welfare Training programs, adjunct faculty for the University of Kansas, as a federal and regional grant reviewer, and on several local and national boards.

Susan also possesses an extensive background in outcome evaluation; community collaboration; program, project, and grants management; and has personal and professional experience in cultural diversity and cultural diversity training.

Susan received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Women’s Studies from Allegheny College and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Janet “Cookie” Cook, MSW

Cookie joined MHAH in August 2007 as an intern.  Cookie is responsible for oversight of all agency housing programs and properties, including funding and compliance, and incorporates her lived experiences as a mental health consumer into all her interactions with staff and tenants. Cookie brings skills and networks from working in the corporate world in various management-level positions and as an owner of a full-charge bookkeeping service for over 20 years. Cookie has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas.

Stacy Davis, MA
Director, Mental Health Promotion

Stacy joined MHAH in 2000. She is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of educational workshops, seminars, and events for mental health, allied health, law enforcement, nursing schools, faith community, and other professionals, consumers, family, and members of the public. She coordinates all information and referral services for the agency.

Stacy received a Bachelor of Arts in Life Science from Kansas State University, a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, and Master of Arts in Education from the University of Kansas. Stacy possesses over 18 years of social service experience and 26 years of experience in the design and delivery of accredited professional and community education, including Senior Continuing Education Program Manager at KU Medical Center and with the UMKC School of Medicine faculty at Truman Medical Center.

Gina joined the agency in 2020. She is responsible for planning and executing all MHAH special events, cultivating relationships with donors, and maintaining the donor database. She handles all agency website and social media platforms. She possesses a broad range of development, strategic, and organizational experience. She has worked for several KC-based corporations and owned and operated Catering by Gina. She has served on several non-profit boards and as a volunteer with local organizations including Hillcrest Transitional Housing, Sunflower House, Charlie’s House, and the Junior League of Wyandotte and Johnson Counties. Gina received her advanced education at Johnson County Community College.
